TCM1000460 - How to restore a claim

Step 1
Note: You must take note of any household end date that previously applied before termination. This can be found in Household Notes.
On the ‘Function Menu’
- select ‘Renewal’ on the toolbar
- select ‘Manage Finalisation’ from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data’ screen
- enter the customer’s NINO
- select the ‘All’ checkbox
- select ‘OK’.
If you’re taken to the ‘Select Award’ screen
- select the award you want to restore
Note: In order to restore CY, select the PY award. - select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen
- go to Step 2.
If you’re taken straight to the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen, go to Step 2.
Step 2
On the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen
- select ‘Process’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Process’ screen
- select ‘Restore CY’. The ‘Restore CY’ screen will display
- select the relevant option to reflect the area in which you work from the ‘Action By’ field. For example ‘TCO’
- select ‘As agreed’ from the ‘Reason’ field
Note: where the household has ended, you must enter the household breakdown date in the ’Household End Date’ field unless a ‘UC start date -1 day’ date has already been pre-populated, before restoring the claim.
Note: the warning message “Amended Household End Date must be before UC start date” will be displayed if a household end date is entered that is later than the ’UC start date -1 day’ that has been pre-populated - select ‘Restore CY’. You’ve restored the claim.
