TCM1000479 - How to copy and print a screen from the computer

Step 1
Make sure the screen you want to print is the ‘active’ screen that is the one with the title bar highlighted
- select and hold down ‘Alt’ on the keyboard
- select ‘Print Screen’ on the keyboard. This will copy an image of the active screen to the Windows clipboard
- open your Word document
- select and hold ‘Ctrl’ on the keyboard
- select ‘V’ on the keyboard. This will paste the image of the active screen onto the Word document.
Note: You don’t need a separate Word document for each screen. You can use the same Word document to hold any number of screens if required.
If you need to print the screen
- select and hold ‘Ctrl’ on the keyboard
- select ‘P’ on the keyboard. The Print options menu will display
- select ‘OK’. You’ve printed the screen
- go to Step 2.
If you don’t need to print the screen, go to Step 2.
Step 2
Select ‘File’ on the toolbar
- select ‘Save As’ from the options available
- in the ‘File Name’ box, enter the title of the document following the normal naming conventions
- select the folder you have created
- select ‘Save’. You’ve copied the screen.
