TCM1000548 - How to check for and apply a manual Universal Credit (UC) Stop Notice

Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu’

  • select ‘IY Finalisation’ on the toolbar
  • select ‘Maintain UC Stop Notice’ from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicant’ screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select ‘OK’

If you are taken to the create stop notice function, go to Step 2.

If the message ‘The claimant has RLS address. Do you wish to create a stop notice?’ appears and you have not followed the guidance in TCM (RLS), click ‘No’.

If the message ‘The claimant has RLS address. Do you wish to create a stop notice?’ appears and you have followed the guidance in TCM (RLS)

  • click ‘Yes’
  • go to Step 2.

Step 2 {#Step2}

On the ‘Maintain UC Stop Notice – create stop notice’ screen

If a date is already in the ‘UC start date’ field

  • take no further action

If a date is not in the ‘UC start date’ field

  • enter the UC start date in the ‘UC start date’ field

Note: The UC start date can be found on the ‘Listing Entry Details’ screen

  • select ‘Manual UC’ in the ‘notice type’ field
  • select ‘OK’
