TFC30300 - Childcare accounts: childcare account fees

Childcare Payments Act 2014, section 15(8)

A childcare account provider may charge fees in connection with a childcare account with HMRC’s consent.

Childcare Payments Act 2014, section 15(9)

The account provider may not charge any fees merely for:

Providing a childcare account, or;

Childcare Payments Act 2014, section 15(9)(b)

Enabling a qualifying payment to be made into a childcare account, or;

Childcare Payments Act 2014, section 15(9)(c)

Enabling a payment to be made from a childcare account in respect of qualifying childcare for the child in respect of whom the account is held.

Childcare Payments Act 2014, section 53(15)

Where a childcare account is provided by HMRC, a direction cannot be made in respect of any fees that might be charged in relation to the childcare account.
