VATRES1100 - Personal exports - retail exports: Introduction: Overview

The VAT Retail Export Scheme (VAT RES) in the UK enables:

• overseas visitors and
• entitled EC residents leaving the EC

to claim a refund of VAT paid on goods purchased in the UK, provided all the conditions of the scheme are met.
