This call for proposals closed on 29 March 2024.
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) invites tenders by 5pm British Summer Time (BST) on 29 March 2024 to conduct a rapid evidence assessment of the research literature on the drivers of responsible business conduct in low- and middle-income countries.
The UK has positioned itself as a leader on responsible business conduct and has committed to support countries to implement and adopt responsible business practices in line with international standards. This rapid evidence assessment is intended to support FCDO to design a new responsible and inclusive business programme, informing the development of the programme’s theory of change
To deliver a robust rapid evidence assessment, the FCDO seeks a research team that has expertise in:
- undertaking research in the field of responsible business conduct, environmental, social and governance (ESG), and private sector development in low- and middle-income countries, with preference for experience conducting research on responsible business conduct or investment
- conducting rigorous evidence syntheses, including systematic reviews or rapid evidence assessments
- using empirical research methods to evaluate responsible business conduct and private sector development interventions
