What the fund will achieve

Action on climate and health aligns with the UK International Development Strategy, which highlights both climate change and health as priorities.

This programme will contribute to these 2 areas and to:

This rapid evidence assessment will review what interventions work, and in what circumstances, to build low-carbon and climate-resilient health systems in low- and middle-income countries to inform FCDO’s work in these areas.

To deliver a robust rapid evidence assessment, the FCDO seeks a research team that has expertise in:

  • undertaking research in the fields of climate and health, ideally intervention-based research in low and middle income countries
  • conducting rigorous evidence syntheses, including systematic reviews and rapid evidence assessments
  • conducting empirical research methods to evaluate climate and/or health interventions
