UK Science and Innovation Network in Thailand
The Science & Innovation Network (SIN) in Thailand aims to enhance science, research and innovation partnerships that are mutually beneficial for the UK and Thailand.
This cooperation addresses global developments and challenges, including global health security, climate change, and emerging technologies. It will project the UK as a leader in science through aligning cross-government support and promoting UK values and standards in science.
SIN Thailand also works with UK government departments, and the British Council in Thailand, to inform national scientific developments.
Responsibilities and priorities
SIN Thailand’s 3 thematic priorities are:
- global health, including genomics
- climate change and energy
- emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) and technology standards
SIN Thailand also supports wider networking and capacity building opportunities to advance UK international development priorities with Thailand, including on the International Science Partnership Fund.
