CLOSED: Mental Health Support for Young People - Leeds City Region (OC20S19P1291)
Call to run a project to support young people with mental health needs to prepare for and enter into employment in the Leeds City Region LEP area.
This call is now closed. Please do not submit an application for this call. The information provided on this page is for reference purposes only.
Details
This Call seeks an applicant who can deliver against the following 4 stage support programme:
- Engagement, trust building and supporting preparation for a mental health intervention
- Mental health interventions (often a combination of more than one type is the most likely to succeed) - Improving Access to Psychological Therapies, services, alternative therapies, social prescribing, mindfulness
- Support with job-seeking once young people feel well enough to get and keep a job (IAG, interview skills, potentially vocation and key skills development, work readiness)
- In-work support to help young people manage their mental health during this transition and sustain the role
We would also look for the Provider to work with schools to support individuals particularly through stressful periods – e.g. exams. However, any provision must not duplicate that already planned under the main NEET Programmes operating across the City Region, provision that schools or Local Authorities would be expected to provide and must be targeted at those who are at risk of being NEET.
We would be looking for the same provider to deliver stages 1, 3 and 4 i.e. through a young person’s “key worker” to build trust and not feel passed from pillar to post.
