Detail of outcome

DCMS conducted a statistical consultation on the uses of Taking Part survey data, gaps in the survey’s coverage and views on potential changes to methodology, including discontinuation of the survey. The public consultation ran from 26th February to 1st June 2020 and was designed to run alongside a strategic review of DCMS surveys.

This report summarises feedback received. It is assumed that not all interested parties would have had the capacity to respond to the public consultation during the Covid-19 pandemic, despite the extension to the closing date. Therefore, this feedback will be incorporated into the strategic review of DCMS surveys and used alongside feedback from other engagement exercises to inform the future of DCMS surveys.
