Ask HMRC’s digital assistant to find information about technical support with HMRC online services.
If the digital assistant cannot help you, you can ask to be transferred to a webchat with an HMRC adviser, if they’re available.
Problems using HMRC online services
Use the ‘Get help’ or ‘Is there anything wrong with this page’ link on the page in the online service you’re using if you:
- have received an error message in an online service
- are having problems with verifying your identity, your log in details or receiving access codes

Call HMRC if you’re having technical problems with HMRC online services.
You can also call if you need extra support because your health condition, disability or personal circumstances make it difficult for you to use HMRC online services.
Do not use this helpline for:
- tax queries — contact the helpline that deals with your tax, Child Benefit or tax credits affairs
- issues with VAT online services — contact the VAT online services helpline

This helpline may ask you some security questions. Make sure your personal details and address are up to date in your personal tax account or business tax account or you could fail telephone security. If you do not have an account, you can create one before you check your details.
