AoFA Qualifications | Likely failure to comply with Conditions H5.1, H6.1(d), I4.1(d), I4.2(b) and I4.2(c). | Direction given | Closed |
On 5 December 2018, Ofqual gave a direction to AoFAQ following an investigation that raised concerns that AoFAQ had failed, and was likely to continue to fail, to comply with its Conditions of Recognition. The direction was given in order to secure compliance with Conditions H5.1, H6.1(d), I4.1(d), I4.2(b) and I4.2(c) and required AoFAQ to immediately stop issuing results and certificates to Learners and to stop registering new Learners to qualifications regulated by Ofqual, until it had demonstrated that it had the capacity to ensure that results were accurate and certificates were valid.
The direction required AoFAQ to use its best endeavours to assist any Learner, Centre or awarding organisation which requests its assistance to transfer Learners from AoFAQ qualifications to another qualification regulated by Ofqual.
AoFAQ has supplied, and continues to supply, evidence to Ofqual demonstrating how it is implementing improvement measures to bring itself back into compliance with its Conditions of Recognition.
Ofqual is reviewing that evidence and the requirements of the direction, which are of an ongoing nature, to determine whether it should continue to be in place.
The direction has been closed and replaced with Special Conditions imposed on 28 February 2019.
