Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export live birds to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Details

From 1 January 2021, live birds exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters in EU and non-EU countries should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificate GBHC610

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for imports of certain birds other than poultry (Regulation 139/2013) (CBB).

Certificate GBHC611

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for pet birds (Decision 2007/25) (PB).

Certificate GBHC612

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate applicable to imports and transits of eligible birds according to Directive 92/65 (BAB).

We have published new streamlined certificates which replace those currently in use: - GBHC610 CBB: Captive bred birds (replaces GBHC027X and GBHC027E) - GBHC611 PB: Pet birds (replaces GBHC058X and GBHC058E) - GBHC612 BAB: Birds for approved bodies or conservation programs (replaces GBHC211X and GBHC211)

  4. Multiple changes have been made: 1. Amended box 1.2.a in certificate GBHC058E. A unique notification number (UNN) needs to be included in this box. 2. Amended the version history notes for certificates GBHC058X and GBHC058E. The previous version of each certificate will continue to be accepted until 1 April 2023.

  6. We've updated certificates GBHC027X, GBHC058X and GBHC211X.

  7. Updated the following live birds model health certificates: Birds for approved bodies or conservation programs from non-EU countries (92/65 GBHC211X) and Birds for approved bodies or conservation programs from EU countries (92/65 GBHC211E).

  9. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.
