This guidance for stakeholders and other interested parties describes how the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) applies its concurrent competition powers and duties.

It explains the interaction between generally applicable competition law and aviation-specific legislation.

The guidance covers the CAA’s competition powers in relation to airport operation services and air traffic services. These include sector reviews, market studies, competition infringement investigations, market investigation references to the Competition and Markets Authority and super complaints.
