Composites: model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export composites to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Composites exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificate GBHC440

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for composite products intended for human consumption (Regulation 28/2012) (COMP).

Certificate GBHC441

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for transit or storage of composite products intended for human consumption (Regulation 28/2012) (COMP-T/S).

1. 30 April 2024

   All old versions of certificates have been removed.

2. 31 August 2023

   We have updated certificates GBHC440 and GBHC441. We have also updated the ‘use from’ date for certificates GBHC440 and GBHC441. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

3. 28 April 2023

   We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.

4. 24 October 2022

   Multiple changes have been made: 1. Updated certificates GBHC088X and GBHC089X. See version history for full details of the changes. 2. Certificates GBHC088E and GBHC089E should now be used from 1 December 2023.

5. 1 May 2022

   We've updated certificates GBHC088X and GBHC089X.

6. 23 February 2022

   The following certificates will come into use on 1 November 2022: GBHC088E and GBHC089E.

7. 16 December 2021

   Updated model health certificates GBHC088E and GBHC088X.

8. 20 October 2021

   Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.

9. 15 June 2021

   Updated composite products certificates GBHC088E and GBHC088X.

10. 22 March 2021

    Edited health certificates the following health certificates which will now come into use on 1 October 2021. These are 28/2012 GBHC088E and 28/2012 GBHC089E.
