This report summarises the findings of research into attitudes to using public transport during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The research aimed to understand:
- the public’s experience of using public transport during the third national lockdown
- the public’s level of confidence in public transport during and after the third national lockdown
- how public health measures affect confidence in using public transport
The research consisted of 8 online focus groups with the general public and 10 in-depth interviews with disabled passengers undertaken by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Department for Transport.
The fieldwork took place between 26 May and 10 June 2021.
