Confiscation orders are given by courts to remove the benefits a prisoner has received from a crime they committed.
This document contains detailed help and general guidance for prison staff on how to how to put systems in place to support confiscation orders. It includes information on keeping prosecution enforcement units (PEU) and regional confiscation units (RCU) informed about any prisoners who have been given a confiscation order.
This is a current PSI. It came into effect on 9 March 2010 and was last updated on 28 July 2015.
