Details

This document sets out the proposed requirements and procedures for the approval of bulk containers BK1 and BK2 that can’t:

  • meet the construction requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
  • be approved under the convention on safe containers (CSC convention)

These containers are usually skips, or specially designated or constructed vehicle bodies. It excludes containers fitted with a CSC plate.

This guidance was issued in July 2009.
