Details

The Fisheries Industry Science Partnerships (FISP) scheme awarded £13 million to 41 innovative new projects that will support the UK’s fishing industry to be more sustainable and productive.

In round 1 of the FISP scheme:

  • £1.4 million was awarded to 8 projects
  • 3 grants were awarded to develop research proposals
  • 5 contracts were awarded to carry out full research projects

In round 2 of the FISP scheme:

  • £2.5 million was awarded to 16 projects
  • 7 grants were awarded to develop research proposals
  • 9 contracts were awarded to carry out full research projects

60% of applicants who received grants in rounds 1 and 2 were awarded a contract to carry out full research projects.

In round 3 of the FISP scheme £3.6 million was awarded to 5 projects. These contracts were awarded to carry out full research projects.

In round 4 of the FISP scheme £5.5 million was awarded to 12 projects. These contracts were awarded to carry out full research projects.
