Details
The Governor’s Office is committed to openness, transparency and the public interest in compliance with both the UK’s Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Cayman Islands Freedom of Information Law 2007.
The Governor’s Office holds two separate sets of records, each dealt with differently:

UK Government documents covered by the UK’s Freedom of Information Act 2000. Requests for the release of these records should be made to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

Cayman Islands Government documents covered by the Cayman Islands Freedom of Information Law 2007. Read information on how to make a Freedom of Information request can be found.
Applications should be made in writing by email to foi.gov@gov.ky or by letter to Lisa Carroll, Information Manager, Governor’s Office, Suite 101, Government Administration Building, Elgin Avenue, Grand Cayman KY1-9000 / telephone +1 345 244 2431.
Disclosure logs
Under the Cayman Islands’ Freedom of Information law, we are obliged to keep disclosure logs listing Freedom of Information requests and their outcomes.
Appeals
If you wish to appeal a decision from this office please contact us directly within 30 days of receiving notice of the decision.
