This guidance is for inspectors carrying out a joint targeted area inspection (JTAI) of the multi-agency response to the criminal exploitation of children in a local authority area in England.

These JTAIs are carried out by inspectors from:

  • Ofsted
  • Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS)
