Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export meat products to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Meat products exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificate GBHC350

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for meat preparations (Decision 2000/572) (MP-PREP).

Certificate GBHC351

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for meat preparations intended for transit or storage (Decision 2000/572) (MP-PREP-T/S).

Certificate GBHC352

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for certain meat products and treated stomachs, bladders and intestines (Decision 2007/777) (MP-PROD).

From 2 December 2024, this certificate will not be accepted for poultry meat products from Thailand or China. Please use either GBHC901, GBHC902 or GBHC903 depending on the country of origin.

Certificate GBHC353

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

  1. Added certificates GBHC901, GBHC902 and GBHC903. Amended GBHC352 details and version history to reflect that this certificate will not be accepted for poultry meat products from Thailand or China.

  2. GBHC350 has been amended and a new certificate published. See the version history for details.

  3. All old versions of certificates have been removed.

  4. Certificate GBHC352 has been replaced with a new version as we removed ruminants from the title of AH/P400.

  5. We have updated certificates GBHC350, GBHC351, GBHC352 and GBHC353. We have also updated the ‘use from’ date for certificates GBHC350, GBHC351, GBHC352 and GBHC353. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

  6. We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.

  7. Version 3.1 of certificate GBHC127X is accepted until 17 September 2023.

  8. We updated the approval date to 17 September 2023 for the following certificates: GBHC115E version 3.1, GBHC115E/SM version 3.1, GBHC115X version 3.2, GBHC127E version 3.0, GBHC127E/SM version 3.0 and GBHC127X version 3.1.'

  9. Uploaded updated versions of certificates 115E, 115E/SM, 115X, 127E, 127E/SM and 127X. Updated version history.

  10. Updated certificates GBHC115E, GBHC115E/SM and GBHC115X. The previous version of each certificate will be accepted until 1 June 2023.

  11. Updated certificates GBHC115E, GBHC115E/SM, GBHC115X, GBHC116E, GBHC116E/SM, GBHC116X, GBHC127E, GBHC127E/SM, GBHC128E, GBHC128E/SM and GBHC128X. See version history for full details of the changes.

  12. Updated model health certificate GBHC127X.

  13. On the attachment 'Meat products model health certificates: version history' under 'GBHC127X Meat products from non-EU countries 2007/777' for Version 1.0 information has been updated from 'published November 2020 - accepted until 20 June 2022' to 'published November 2020 - accepted until 1 November 2022'.

  14. Certificates GBHC115E, GBHC116E, GBHC127E and GBHC128E should now be used from 31 December 2023. They were previously due to come into effect on 1 July 2022.

  15. We’ve updated certificates GBHC115X, GBHC116X, GBHC127X and GBHC128X.

  16. Updated model health certificates GBHC127E, GBHC127E-SM and GBHC127X.

  17. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.

  18. Updated meat products model health certificates 2000/572 GBHC115X, 2000/572 GBHC115E and 2000/572 GBHC115E/SM.
