Details

Arrangements for additional funding of up to £3 million per year has been allocated to the UK government’s financial support scheme (SMarT) for merchant navy seafarer training between 1 April 2014 and 31 March 2016. Further information regarding the additional funding can be found in MIN 486 (M)

MGN 455 has since been extended and remains valid for the foreseeable future

This notice is for all:

• merchant ship owners and managers
• masters
• deck and engineering officers
• ratings of merchant vessels
• those concerned with maritime training
