Details

This prison service instruction (PSI) contains rules and guidance for prison staff responsible for allocating prison places. It outlines which prisons to place men and women in who:

  • are subject to immigration proceedings by the Home Office
  • have more than three months until their conditional release date
  • are categorised “C” (for men) or “closed” (for women)

This is a current PSI. It came into effect on 15 January 2015.
