Details
This Policy Framework sets out the rules and guidance for staff in all prisons and young offender institutions to help them to offer secure social video calling in a manner which does not compromise safety, security, good order and public protection, in line with existing policies.
Social video calling offers prisoners and young people another way of communicating with family and friends in a social capacity alongside, not as a replacement for, face-to-face social visits and other existing communications such as letters and phone calls.
