Details

These standard rules allow you to operate a metal recycling site at a specified location, provided that the permitted activities are not carried out within:

• 500 metres of a European Site, Ramsar site or Site of Special Scientific Interest
• 50 metres of any well, spring or borehole used for the supply of water for human consumption, including private water supplies

1. 10 April 2019

   We have made the following changes to the standard rules set; addition of conditions to allow the acceptance and storage of intact waste vehicle catalytic converters.

   We have updated the interpretation section 4.4 of the standard rule with a revised definition for the term ‘European Site’
