Details

The mission statement sets out the importance of international data transfers and the UK’s approach to striking new adequacy agreements and implementing more efficient transfer tools.

The UK uses the adequacy manual to provide a framework that informs the assessment of data protection standards in other countries. Its structure, consistency across all assessments and the underpinning process enables rigorous assessments to be undertaken, supporting an internationally scalable approach to data transfers.

The publication of technical information on our process and framework for adequacy will support our ambition to be open and to provide trust.
