Details

The research was commissioned following a commitment in the Work, Health and Disability Green Paper (2016) to undertake comprehensive research to understand how best to engage and support individuals in this claimant group.

The research consisted of 50 in-depth face-to-face interviews, 6 focus groups, 4 peer-to-peer interviews and a survey of 2,012 claimants.

The findings will be used to inform the department’s current and long term strategy for supporting this claimant group, as well being used to inform the forthcoming Green Paper on long-term benefit reform.
