Main findings

The report shows that from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024:

  • approximately 330,500 men were offered screening, with 82.1% that were tested
  • 2,004 aneurysms (aorta measuring ≥3.0cm) were found
  • approximately 15,300 men were on surveillance during the year and approximately 22,400 surveillance scans were undertaken
  • 810 men with large aneurysms (≥5.5cm) or rapidly growing aneurysms (≥4.0cm that has grown 1cm or more in 1 year) were appropriately referred for surgery, that were suitable for intervention and did not decline
