Details

This publication gives the size of the agricultural workforce in England from the Survey of Agriculture and Horticulture run by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in June. The statistical notice includes information on the number of farmers, managers and workers on farm. A breakdown between full time and part time is included along with a split between regular employees and casual workers. Also included is information on sex and age groups of farm holders.

A longer time series is available in the accompanying dataset.
