Exporting to Great Britain: approved countries for animals and animal products

Check if a country or territory is approved to export animals and animal products to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales).

EU and non-EU countries must be approved to export animals and animal products to Great Britain.

Check the approved:

• EU and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) states
• non-EU countries

Exporters must comply with all relevant certification requirements.

Animal health status

Check the animal health status of countries and territories approved to export animals and animal products to Great Britain.

Apply for approval to export to Great Britain

Only competent authorities in EU and non-EU countries can apply for approval to export animals and animal products to Great Britain.

To apply for or amend approval, competent authorities must email the UK Office for Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Trade Assurance at ukassurance@defra.gov.uk.
