CDSSG10030 - Step-By-Step Guide, Step 5 - 4-Digit to 3-Digit Procedure Code to Additional Procedure Code Correlation Matrix
Each Movement Type provides a correlation matrix that identifies which 4-digit Procedure Codes and 3-digit Additional Procedure Codes may be used together. Ensure the appropriate matrix is selected for the type of movement being made.
- Imports Correlation Matrix
- Exports Correlation Matrix
- Imports (Inventory) Customs Clearance Requests (CCR) Correlation Matrix
- Exports (inventory) CCR Correlation Matrix
- Final Supplementary Declarations (FSD) Correlation Matrix
The matrix may be found by using the Navigation Guide for the chosen Movement Type (see CDSSG06000 for guidance on identifying the Movement Type):
- Navigate the Declaration Completion Instructions for Imports
- Navigate the Declaration Completion Instructions for Exports
- Navigate the Declaration Completion Instructions for Import Customs Clearance Requests (CCRs)
- Navigate the Declaration Completion Instructions for Exports Customs Clearance Requests (CCRs)
- Navigate the Declaration Completion Instructions for Final Supplementary Declarations (FSDs)
The Matrix can also be accessed direct from the Guidance section for the specific Movement Type:
- Imports: guidance on completing an import declaration for the Customs Declaration Service
- Exports: guidance on completing an export declaration for the Customs Declaration Service
- Inventory Imports — Customs Clearance Requests: guidance on completing an import declaration for the Customs Declaration Service
- Inventory Exports — Customs Clearance Requests: guidance on completing an export declaration for the Customs Declaration Service
- Final Supplementary Declarations (FSD): guidance on completing a Final Supplementary Declaration for the Customs Declaration Service
The Matrix identifies the full set of Additional Procedure Codes that are permitted to be used with the Procedure Code. This does not mean that all the Additional Procedure Codes shown need to be used, it provides the list of available codes from which the required Additional Procedure Codes should be selected. If the Matrix does not contain a ‘Y’ in the cell it is not a valid combination.
The Matrix contains two tabs within the spreadsheet.
Tab 1 is sorted by the Procedure Code and indicates which Additional Procedure Codes may be used with each Procedure Code .
