NHS population screening: identifying and reducing inequalities has generic guidance and resources on tackling inequalities in all national NHS screening programmes.
The guidance in this publication is specifically to support providers, commissioners and other partners involved in the delivery of the 6 NHS antenatal and newborn (ANNB) screening programmes:
- fetal anomaly screening
- infectious diseases in pregnancy screening
- sickle cell and thalassaemia screening
- newborn and infant physical examination
- newborn blood spot screening
- newborn hearing screening
It includes information and resources on how to:
- identify inequalities
- reduce inequalities
