Apply to remove your home address from the Companies House register (SR01)
Apply as an individual under section 1088 to remove your home address, or part of it, from the public Companies House register.
Documents
Details
You can use this form if you are (or were) a:
- company officer
- person with significant control (PSC)
- subscriber or member of a company, LLP, societas Europaea (SE) or eligible Scottish partnership
- officer or permanent representative of an overseas company
You’ll need to know which documents contain your home address. Check this by finding your company on the Companies House register.
Before you apply, you should read our guidance on restricting the disclosure of your information. Any reference to ‘company’ includes limited liability partnership (LLP) and eligible Scottish partnership.
You cannot ask to remove your company’s registered office address, even if it’s your home address.
How to pay the fee
You must pay the appropriate fee using GOV.UK Pay before sending your SR01 application. It costs £30 for each document listed in your application.
Once the payment is complete, you’ll get a payment reference. You must include the payment reference when you send us your SR01 application.
How to send your application
The quickest way to register your SR01 application is to email us a digital copy. This will allow our teams to process your application without delay.
Email your completed SR01 application and the payment reference to dsr@companieshouse.gov.uk.
We will reject your application if you do not provide the payment reference.
Sending your application by post
You can still post your completed SR01 application with a cheque or postal order - but it takes much longer to process paper applications and documents sent by post.
Help us improve this service
We would like to find out your experience of the process to help us improve it.
If you are willing to be contacted by a Companies House user researcher, send your name and company number to surveys@companieshouse.gov.uk.
If you have a query about your application, you must contact dsr@companieshouse.gov.uk.
