Details

This guide describes the skills and knowledge advisers need to provide good quality advice services. It explains the work that is permitted at OISC levels 1, 2 and 3.

Please note that the 2017 and 2021 versions refer to the 2016 Code of Standards

  2. 30 June 2021 marks the end of the ‘grace period’ in which certain aspects of EU Free movement law continue to apply and as such the Guidance on Competence has been updated to reflect the work advisers at each OISC level can undertake as of 1 July 2021.
