Sectoral Analysis Questionnaire

Details

This report contains details of the number of UK cyber security companies, the cyber security sector’s contribution to the UK economy, the number of personnel employed in the cyber security sector and an overview of the products and services offered by these firms. We are also publishing the questionnaire used as part of the research.

The analysis builds upon the original UK Cyber Security Sectoral Analysis (published in October 2018) which provided an initial estimate of the size and scale of the UK’s cyber security industry.

This research has been carried out for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) by Ipsos MORI, in conjunction with Perspective Economics, the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) at Queen’s University Belfast and Professor Steven Furnell at the University of Plymouth. It is part of DCMS’s work in the National Cyber Security Strategy 2016-2021 to promote, support and grow the UK cyber security sector.
