This report contains information about the UK cyber security sector, including the number of businesses, the sector’s contribution to the UK economy, the number of people employed and the products and services offered by these firms.
The analysis builds upon several previous reports:
- the original UK Cyber Security Sectoral Analysis (published October 2018)
- 2020 UK Cyber Security Sectoral Analysis (published January 2020)
- 2021 UK Cyber Security Sectoral Analysis (published February 2021)
This research has been carried out for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) by Ipsos MORI, in conjunction with Perspective Economics and the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) at Queen’s University Belfast. It is part of DCMS’s work in the National Cyber Strategy 2022 to protect and promote the UK in cyber space, develop the UK cyber ecosystem and foster growth in the cyber security sector.
