Details

This prison service order (PSO) contains guidance on preventing fraud within the prison service. It sets out the roles and responsibilities of all prison service staff in helping to prevent fraud and explains what someone should do if they suspect fraud.

The PSO includes guidance on:

  • managing the risks of fraud
  • reporting suspected cases of fraud
  • the role of audit and corporate assurance fraud investigation team
  • declaring conflicts of interest
  • the fraud response plan

This is a current PSO. It came into effect in October 2004 and was last updated on 4 April 2008.
