This tracker survey was commissioned by the Office for Product Safety and Standards from YouGov. Its main objective was to understand consumers’ awareness of and views on a range of product safety issues to gain new insight on OPSS policy areas, building on existing research and evidence. It explored topical policy areas including online shopping, second hand shopping and inclusive design. It also investigated how vulnerable consumers’ experiences could differ, to identify how they could be better assisted in matters of product safety. Its findings were based on a representative sample of 10,230 people from across the UK with a supporting telephone survey of 512 people who are very low or non-internet users.
